What are neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators are wrinkle-relaxing injections of botulinum toxin commercially and commonly known as Botox, Dysport or Nuceiva. They are used to treat wrinkles such as frown lines and crow’s feet. A minute amount of a neuromodulator is injected directly into the underlying muscle causing it to relax and gradually smooth out the appearance of the overlying skin.

How long does it take to recover from Neuromodulators?
There’s minimal or no downtime associated with Neuromodulator treatment. Swelling and bruising vary by each individual. It is normal to have some swelling and a general “tight” feeling after the treatment. Bruising can occur, although rarely, and we recommend pre and post-treatment with homeopathic arnica which can help reduce inflammation, if any. Refraining the use of Aspirin, anti-inflammatories, fish oils, alcohol and other blood-thinning agents can also reduce any risk. Mineral makeup can be applied to cover the areas soon after.
How long do Neuromodulators last?
Results of Neuromodulators typically last 3 to 6 months depending on each individual’s metabolism. It usually takes anywhere from 48 hours to 2 weeks to notice the relaxing of the injected muscle. The maintenance and frequency of Neuromodulator treatment will depend on multiple factors and our trusted medical team will give you recommendations on the most effective plan for future treatments.
